Our Services
Milner and Pailing Psychology (MAPP) is staffed by a team of clinicians and a dedicated team of administrative personnel. Our clinical team is comprised of individuals from Southern Ontario who have all achieved graduate degrees with specialized training in various fields, which allows us to offer services that are both unique and broad.
We provide services to individuals and families whose lives have been disrupted by brain injury, medical conditions or chronic illness, including traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, post-traumatic stress, and depression / anxiety associated with adjustment to disability. With our roots in Clinical Neuropsychology, our focus is often providing psychotherapeutic treatment after brain injury, cognitive rehabilitation, neurobehavioural intervention, and general counselling in the context of injury and recovery.
We also offer general counselling for individuals affected by trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, pain and other psychological and behavioural conditions/situations that disrupt lives and reduce well-being.
Our Psychologists at MAPP regularly conduct both Neuropsychological Assessments and Psychological/Psychodiagnostic Assessments. Our focus is often to provide diagnoses and information that can help to guide treatment and for rehabilitation planning purposes. We also conduct medical-legal consultations and assessments.
We work collaboratively with families to help our clients and provide support to the family members of the individuals we treat. We also often work in partnership with interdisciplinary treatment teams to serve our clients.
With our background in neuropsychology, we provide community education about the effects of concussion and brain injury and work alongside community organizations like the Brain Injury Association of Niagara, Ontario Brain Injury Association, and Brain Injury Community Re-Entry.
We serve individuals across the entire lifespan, including children and older adults.
MAPP accepts referrals from a variety of sources, including case managers, physicians, lawyers, insurers, brain injury programs, and other rehabilitation professionals, as well as self-referrals. Our services are not covered by OHIP and our hourly rate varies.
